The lovely Fany has written a great review for an amazing, elegant story that will fascinate you. The fic is complete.
Summary: Edward finds himself back in the little beach town of his childhood when he inherits the local bar from his uncle. The elusive, pretty girl next door has killer legs, a sketchbook and secrets that are slowly eating her alive. All-human, EXB.

Don't miss it because...
I began reading this story when it was a WIP because I’d been hearing so many good things about it that I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did it because it became one of my favourite fics.

In the first chapter, Edward receives a call from Carlisle telling him that his uncle Peter has just passed away and that he has inherited everything. Edward goes back to Summerside, the town where his uncle lived and that holds a lot of memories from his childhood.
We meet Bella in chapter two. Let’s just say that Edward and Bella’s first meeting is far from pleasant because he basically acts like a jerk. But don’t worry, he will redeem himself ;)

Bella is Edward’s neighbor. She has been living there for a couple of years and she was very fond of his uncle Peter. They begin to interact and become friends. They’re obviously attracted to each other but Bella has something holding her back so they decide to stay as friends. Time passes and they become closer. Edward is present one day while she’s having nightmares and crying in her sleep. He’s worried about her and she eventually tells him what happened to her.
They just can’t stop what happens between them so they finally become more. Edward calls her Firefly. This is the passage (which I absolutely love) where he explains why:

"Why do you call me that?"
"What… why do I call you Firefly?" He asked, a little bashful. "It might be kind of silly."
"Oh, you could never be silly," she said with a soft smile, backing up to see his face, scratching a nail through his almost-beard.
"Right. Well, you remind me of a little firefly, I guess. My mom and I used to catch them when I was a kid. They were so gentle. They don't bite at all, you know? When it got really dark they were impossible to see unless they flickered their light at you. I'd get close to one and then the light would go off and I'd have to wait for it to come back on. But by the time she flickered again she had flown away and it would start all over."
Her big, dark eyes were unreadable.
"You flicker at me sometimes, Bella," he said softly. "All this time I've been waiting to catch you but when I get too close you fly away." He tilted her face to make sure she understood. "I don't mean here," he said, and he grazed her mouth with his thumb, running his hand down her side. "Here," he said, and lightly tapped her forehead.
"I'm sorry," she whispered.
"No, no… don't ever be sorry. Not to me." He gathered her close, humming into her hair until her eyes slipped shut and she was breathing soft and steady against his chest.

The turning point in the story happens right after this part. I was so not expecting it. It literally left me speechless. I can’t say much because I would give everything away. You just need to read it and discover it for yourself.
There is no way I can do justice to the story with what I can reveal here and without saying too much but this story is amazing. The writing is absolutely beautiful and it will capture you. I found myself thinking about the story way after having finished it. I remember that when it was updated, I left everything I was doing to read the chapter. The waiting killed me but you’re lucky because now it’s complete! I know I’m repeating myself but you need to read it and see for yourself how extraordinary this fic is. You won’t regret it!

Thank you, Fany!
